How to Clean Your Dirty Grout in Just Minutes

Do you have dirty grout? Have you tried cleaning it? Does it not change? Do you scrub and scrub and nothing happens? Cleaning grout can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be – not with the right grout cleaner!

Grout is porous. It traps and absorbs all sorts of things including water, dirt, mold, mildew, and more. Remember that chocolate milk your son dropped on the floor last week? Likely, the grout sucked it up – even more likely if your grout isn’t sealed. Over time, the grout will change color and darken due to all the things it is absorbing, which makes your grout look dirty.

Regular household cleaners aren’t strong enough to clean the grout – many of these cleaners are too harsh and can break the grout. With the right grout cleaner, your tile and grout can look like new again in minutes!

Grout Shield’s grout and tile cleaner lifts tough stains from grout. It is easy to use, and you won’t have to scrub for hours. It is ph-balanced and safe to use on tile and grout. If you want to change the color of the grout, Grout Shield’s color sealer can be easily applied to grout and change your grout color in minutes! You’ll never know your grout had a stain! The color sealer will not stick to the tile only the grout.

Check our video below to see how easy it is to use Grout Shield’s color sealer to clean up stained grout lines.

How to Color Seal Pitted Tile

What is pitted tile? Pitted tile has a rough surface and texture – it is not smooth and sleek feeling or looking. Can this tile’s grout be sealed? It can.

By using Grout Shield’s brush applicator and Grout Shield’s color sealer, you can recolor and seal the pitted tile. Just squeeze the color sealer into the applicator all over the tile and grout lines and into the pits of the tile. Then, take your hand and spread the excess around and make sure it’s filling all the pits. Then, you take a moist chamois and white off the excess in circular motions.  Finally, seal it off with a clear grout sealer. You can transform your darkened pitted tiles to a brighter color that is more uniform and clean looking.

The color sealer is a penetrating sealer designed to revitalize and restore the desired color to your grout and pitted tile.

Grout Shield’s color sealer is a colorant and sealer all in one. It will change the look of your tile while also protecting it. It can even make the pits look smaller and less pronounced.

Renovate Your Kitchen with Better Storage

Space in a home can sometimes be an issue – especially in the kitchen. Pots, pans, appliances, plates, silverware, food – there’s a lot to store away in this room. Now, if you have no plans to move, how can you maximize the space in your kitchen? A kitchen renovation! Our team at Sunset Builders & Maintenance can renovate your kitchen to include clever and smart storage solutions, so you can have a beautiful new kitchen that neatly stores away everything you currently own.

For this blog article, we wanted to share some kitchen storage renovation ideas that you may want to add into your new kitchen.  Each year, there are new solutions to make kitchen storage and functionality easier.

  • Install a cabinet with a pull-out tiered insert to help better organize lids and containers in a neat fashion.
  • Create a pullout that gives more counter space (maybe a chipping board) with a hole to throw trash into the bin/storage below.
  • Install toe-kick drawers, which are thin drawers near your feet/floor. This extra space never gets used but can be great to store racks and pans.
  • Design narrow pull-out cabinets to hold cutting boards and baking sheets.
  • Install a pullout under the kitchen sink. You don’t have to search far with a pullout.
  • Create a pullout rack where you can store linens and tablecloths – by hanging them in a rack they will get less wrinkly than in a drawer folded.
  • Design deep pullouts to store small appliances like a blender.
  • Install a pullout with built-in cannisters to store all silverware and kitchen tools so they won’t take up space sprawled in a drawer or on a counter.
  • Install a charging drawer where you can plug in devices and keep them away from food and water.
  • Create pullouts with levels to store food.
